About

Dr. Kimberly Zito

I specialize in working with individuals across the lifespan for concerns related to anxiety, depression, trauma, behavioral difficulties, emotional regulation, relationship difficulties, school concerns, and life transitions. I am a licensed clinical psychologist in Connecticut and Massachusetts and certified school psychologist in Connecticut, New York, and Illinois. I earned a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (Psy.D.) and Masters of Arts (M.A.) in Clinical Practices from the University of Hartford. Prior to receiving my doctorate, I earned a Masters of Science (M.S.) in School Psychology from St. John’s University. I completed an APA accredited pre-doctoral internship at Aspire Health Alliance (formerly South Shore Mental Health) in Quincy, MA and a clinical residency at Connecticut Behavioral Health in Cheshire, CT. I have worked within a variety of clinical settings including residential and acute inpatient hospitals, private outpatient and community-based public clinics, and therapeutic day schools.

I am also passionate about psychological testing and have had extensive experience assessing both children and adults within a wide range of areas including: emotional symptoms and significant psychiatric concerns, attention and executive functioning difficulties, autism spectrum disorders, and learning challenges. In addition to therapy and assessment, my clinical training experiences have afforded me the opportunities to develop expertise in consultation for both educational services and social and emotional needs.
